How To Use
Fill your seed tray, pot or propagator with the compost, firming gently and levelling the surface before sowing seeds or inserting cuttings according to their individual planting depth guidelines. Water lightly after sowing to settle the compost around the seeds or cuttings, then keep consistently moist but not waterlogged while germination or root development takes place. Once seedlings or cuttings have established a healthy root system and produced their first true leaves or new growth, they can be potted on into a general-purpose compost for continued growing.
Tips & Advice
Because this compost is deliberately low in nutrients, it’s best suited to the early stages of a plant’s life rather than long-term growing, so plan to pot on young plants once they’re established to avoid stunted growth. Store any unused compost in a dry spot with the bale resealed to stop it drying out or becoming waterlogged from rain, and always use clean pots and trays to reduce the risk of introducing pests or disease to your seedlings.
