How To Use
Place the Zip natural starter log directly into your fireplace, stove or fire pit, then arrange kindling and a few smaller pieces of dry wood or coal loosely around and on top of it. Light the log at one end using a match or long lighter and allow the flame to establish for a few minutes before adding larger logs or coal, once the initial burn is well underway and the surrounding fuel has caught.
Tips & Advice
For the best results, use the starter log with dry, well-seasoned wood or good-quality coal, as damp fuel will be harder to ignite even with a strong initial flame. Leave enough airflow around the log and kindling when building your fire, as restricting oxygen can cause it to smoulder rather than catch properly. It’s also worth keeping a few logs in reserve for wet or windy days when getting a fire started outdoors can be more of a challenge.
