How To Use
For use as a bonding agent, apply the PVA neat or lightly diluted with water to the surface using a brush or roller and allow it to become tacky before applying render, screed or plaster on top. For sealing porous surfaces such as plaster or brickwork prior to painting or tiling, dilute the PVA with water according to the porosity of the surface and apply evenly, allowing it to dry fully before proceeding with the next stage of work. Always stir the container before use and apply in a well-ventilated area.
Tips & Advice
Test a small area first to check drying time and absorption, as porous or older surfaces can vary considerably. Keep the lid tightly closed between uses to prevent the PVA from drying out or thickening in the container, and store somewhere cool and frost-free, as extreme temperatures can affect its consistency and performance. For sealing jobs, a more diluted mix generally gives a better key for subsequent paint or tiling adhesive than applying the PVA neat.
