How To Use
Fill the feeder with a good quality seed mix through the top opening, then hang it securely from a sturdy bracket, hook or tree branch at a height that keeps it clear of ground-based pests and out of easy reach of squirrels. Position it somewhere birds can approach and depart safely, ideally near cover such as shrubs or hedging, and check the seed level every few days to top up as needed, especially during busier feeding periods in colder months.
Tips & Advice
For the best results, site the feeder a little distance from fences, sheds or overhanging branches that squirrels could use to launch themselves onto it, as even a well-designed guard works best when access routes are limited. Clean the feeder regularly with warm water to prevent mould or bacteria building up around the ports, and rotate its position occasionally to avoid a build-up of spilt seed and droppings on the ground below.
