How To Use
Shake the can thoroughly before use, then hold it around 20-30cm from the surface and apply in light, even sweeping passes rather than one heavy coat, allowing a few minutes between coats if extra coverage is needed. Work in a well-ventilated area, protecting surrounding surfaces from overspray with masking tape or newspaper. Once fully dry, the surface will have a chalkboard-style matte black finish ready to be written on with ordinary chalk.
Tips & Advice
For the best chalkboard effect, make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of grease or dust before spraying, as this helps the paint adhere evenly and last longer. Before writing on a freshly painted surface, it’s worth “conditioning” it by rubbing a piece of chalk over the entire area and then wiping it off, which stops the first real message from ghosting into the paint. Store the can upright in a cool, dry place and give it a good shake before each use to keep the spray consistent.
