How To Use
Simply pour the seed mix into your bird feeder, hopper or bird table, or scatter a handful directly onto a clean ground feeding area or bird table tray. Because the mix is husk-free, it can also be used in tube feeders and smaller feeder ports without clogging. Top up regularly, especially during colder months when natural food sources are scarce, and try to offer fresh seed little and often rather than filling feeders to the brim, to help keep it in good condition.
Tips & Advice
Store any unused seed in a cool, dry place in a sealed container to keep it fresh and to deter rodents. Position feeders away from dense cover where cats could hide, but close enough to shrubs or trees that birds have a quick escape route if startled. Cleaning feeders and feeding areas every couple of weeks with warm water helps reduce the build-up of bacteria and keeps visiting birds healthy, and because this mix leaves minimal residue, clean-up around feeding stations should be much quicker than with traditional shelled mixes.
