How To Use
Sweep loose debris from the decking before wetting the boards thoroughly with water. Apply Ronseal Decking Cleaner evenly across the surface using a watering can, garden sprayer or brush, working it into the grain of the wood, particularly in shaded or damp areas where algae tends to build up. Leave the solution to work for the recommended time, then scrub with a stiff outdoor brush to lift dirt and residue before rinsing thoroughly with clean water. For heavily soiled or neglected decking, a second application may be needed.
Tips & Advice
Choose a dry, mild day to clean your decking so the solution isn’t washed away by rain before it has time to work, and try to avoid direct hot sun which can cause the cleaner to dry out too quickly on the boards. Protect nearby plants and lawn edges by rinsing them with water if any product splashes onto them during application. Once the deck is clean and fully dry, it’s the ideal time to apply a decking stain, oil or protector to keep the wood looking good and better protected against the weather for longer.
