How To Use
Measure out the recommended amount of Vitax Bonsai Feed powder and dissolve it thoroughly in water before applying to the soil around the base of the tree, taking care to follow the guidance printed on the pack for quantities and frequency. Feeding is typically carried out during the active growing season, allowing the tree’s roots to take up nutrients gradually as you water. Always water the bonsai lightly before feeding to help the nutrients disperse evenly through the compost.
Tips & Advice
Because bonsai trees are grown in small amounts of compost, it’s easy to over-feed them, so it’s worth erring on the side of caution and building up gradually rather than applying too much at once. Feeding little and often through the growing months tends to give better, more even results than occasional heavy doses, and it’s a good idea to hold off feeding newly repotted trees for a few weeks to let their roots settle first.
