How To Use
Apply Westland Lawn Sand² to a dry lawn using a garden spreader for the most even coverage, or scatter carefully by hand, working in manageable sections so you don’t miss patches or overlap too heavily. Water the lawn lightly after application if rain isn’t expected within a day or two, as this helps the treatment reach down to where moss and thatch sit at soil level. Avoid mowing for a few days either side of treatment to give the product time to take effect.
Tips & Advice
For best results, apply during a period of active grass growth in spring or autumn rather than in the height of a dry summer or during frosty weather, as this gives the lawn the best chance to recover and thicken up. Rake out dead moss once it has blackened and died back, usually within a week or two, to allow air and light to reach the soil. Keep pets and children off the treated area until it has been watered in, and store any leftover product in a dry place away from damp to keep it effective for next time.
