How To Use
Remove your orchid from its current pot, gently teasing away any old, decayed or spent growing medium from the roots. Choose a pot with good drainage, slightly larger than the root ball, and place a layer of the repotting mix at the base. Position the orchid so its roots sit naturally within the pot, then fill in and around the roots with more mix, firming gently so the plant is held securely without being packed too tightly. Water lightly after repotting to help the mix settle around the roots.
Tips & Advice
Orchid roots need plenty of air alongside moisture, so avoid pressing the mix down too firmly and always use a pot with ample drainage holes. It’s best to repot in spring or shortly after flowering has finished, when the plant is entering active growth and can recover quickly. As the bark-based mix breaks down gradually over time, refreshing it every couple of years will help maintain good drainage and keep your orchid’s roots healthy.
